MG 07 PHEV Sedan Debuts With 245 km Electric Range
SAIC has officially added the plug-in hybrid PHEV version of the MG 07 to its official website, expanding the powertrain options available for the coupe-style sedan.
The company has not yet announced pricing for the hybrid version, while the fully electric MG 07 entered pre-sale on July 29 with a starting price of 125,900 yuan, equivalent to around $18,500.
Two Versions and a Wide Range of Features
The MG 07 PHEV will be offered in two versions: 245 Comfort Edition and 245 LiDAR Edition.
The sedan measures 4,886 mm in length, 1,900 mm in width and 1,478 mm in height, with a 2,858 mm wheelbase. These dimensions are largely identical to those of the fully electric version.
MG offers the vehicle in a variety of exterior colors, including purple, pink, white, blue and gray, along with other colors available for the Chinese market.
245 km of Electric Driving Range
The MG 07 PHEV uses a plug-in hybrid system combining DMH hybrid technology with a 1.5-liter gasoline engine, paired with a lithium iron phosphate LFP battery supplied by CATL.
The vehicle offers a CLTC-rated pure electric range of up to 245 km, while its total driving range reaches 1,745 km, giving it strong long-distance capability while reducing the need for frequent charging.
The electric motor produces a maximum output of 152 kW, or around 204 horsepower, with peak torque of 302 Nm.
The gasoline engine generates 82 kW, or approximately 110 horsepower, with maximum torque of 135 Nm.
A Feature-Rich Interior
The cabin comes with a wide range of equipment, including a panoramic roof featuring a dual-layer sun protection system with a silver coating, along with front seats offering both heating and ventilation.
The vehicle also features 256-color ambient lighting and a 50-watt wireless smartphone charging system.
Other equipment includes a smart power tailgate, an 8.88-inch LCD digital instrument cluster, and a large 15.6-inch central touchscreen.
The MG 07 PHEV reflects MGs strategy of combining the sporty styling of a coupe sedan with a long electric driving range and modern technology, while using a plug-in hybrid system designed to provide greater flexibility for both daily driving and long-distance travel.
